Surrounded by Trees is a four-piece band from Saarbrücken, consisting of Peter, Timo, Steve and Olli, who have been making music together for over ten years. Their music is characterized by influences from post-punk, post-rock, indie and the emo of the 1990s. Their songs are like a walk through dense forests – sometimes flooded with light and hopeful, sometimes gloomy and lost between high, rustling treetops. Like the feeling of standing deep in the forest and becoming one with the surroundings, their melodies and lyrics leave room for reflection, expansiveness and longing. With each new release, they refine their sound and create soundscapes that are both rooted and captivating.
