Mit „Ich will wie du sein“ erscheint bereits die dritte Single des am 23. Mai erscheinenden zweiten DISSO!VER-Albums „Die völlige Abwesenheit von Punk“.
Und dieser Song hat es in sich: Fantastisch bratende Fuzz-Gitarren fräsen sich hier durch das Gehör, dazu ein Jan Philipp Janzen am Schlagzeug (Dumbo Tracks, Urlaub in Polen, Von Spar, Die Sterne), der jede Zurückhaltung fahren lässt und den Song wirklich zu einem mitreißenden Stück Indierock klassischer Spielart veredelt. Dinosaur Jr., Hüsker Dü, Superchunk oder ähnlich klingende Acts nicken dazu imaginär anerkennend mit dem Kopf. Zumindest musikalisch, denn textlich geht es nicht zuletzt aufgrund der deutschen Sprache dann doch anders zu: Bei Zeilen wie „Ich will wie du sein – denn du bist nicht wie ich“ fragt man sich: Wer spricht hier? Ein Mensch, unglücklich mit sich selbst? Oder etwa Künstliche Intelligenz, kurz vor der Singularität? Es gibt Hinweise, aber keine Auflösung. Vielleicht ist es auch völlig anders.

„Ich will wie du sein“ is the third single from the second DISSO!VER album „Die völlige Abwesenheit von Punk“ (n English: „The total absence of punk“), which will be released on 23 May.
And this song has it all: Fantastically roasting fuzz guitars mill their way through your ears, accompanied by Jan Philipp Janzen on drums (Dumbo Tracks, Urlaub in Polen, Von Spar, Die Sterne), who lets go of all restraint and really refines the song into a rousing piece of classic indie rock. Dinosaur Jr, Hüsker Dü, Superchunk or similar sounding acts nod their heads in imaginary recognition. At least musically, because the lyrics are different, not least because of the German language: lines like „Ich will wie du sein – denn du bist nicht wie ich“ („I want to be like you – because you’re not like me’) make you wonder: who is speaking here? A human being, unhappy with himself? Or artificial intelligence, on the verge of singularity? There are clues, but no resolution. Maybe it’s completely different.
