Heute erscheint „The Schmidt’s Syndrome“, eine EP über einen Körper, der langsam aus dem Takt gerät. Die fünf Songs sind eine Zusammenarbeit von Sascha Wiercinski alias Old Nobody (bekannt von No Body) und Casino Garden.
Das Schmidt-Syndrom ist eine Autoimmunerkrankung, bei der das eigene Immunsystem Schritt für Schritt Teile des Körpers angreift. Nicht laut. Nicht plötzlich. Sondern schleichend. Ein Teil davon ist Morbus Addison. Ab einem gewissen Punkt geht nichts mehr ohne Tabletten. Der Körper braucht Hilfe von außen, weil er es allein nicht mehr schafft. „The Schmidt’s Syndrome“ erzählt diesen Ablauf so, wie er war: das langsame Abrutschen, das Nicht-Verstehen, die Lethargie, das sich nicht mehr konzentrieren können, das Funktionieren-Müssen, obwohl innen längst alles leerläuft.
Keine medizinische Erklärung – sondern ein Soundtrack zu dem Gefühl, sich Stück für Stück selbst zu verlieren.

Today sees the release of “The Schmidt’s Syndrome”, an EP about a body that is slowly falling out of sync. The five songs are a collaboration between Sascha Wiercinski, aka Old Nobody (known from No Body), and Casino Garden.
Schmidt’s Syndrome is an autoimmune disease in which the body’s own immune system gradually attacks parts of the body. Not loudly. Not suddenly. But insidiously. Part of it is Addison’s disease. At a certain point, nothing works anymore without medication. The body needs outside help because it can no longer manage on its own. “The Schmidt’s Syndrome” recounts this process exactly as it was: the slow decline, the lack of understanding, the lethargy, the inability to concentrate, the need to keep functioning even though inside everything has long since run dry.
No medical explanation—just a soundtrack to the feeling of losing oneself, piece by piece.
