„Addison Crisis“ ist eine Wuppertaler Zusammenarbeit von Sascha Wiercinski alias Old Nobody und Oliver Kroker und Matthias Ballke von den Shoegazern Casino Garden. Old Nobody ist bekannt als Teil des Projekts No Body (mit Ex-Blackmail-Sänger Aydo Abay und Beatsteaks-Drummer Thomas Götz) und dessen viel beachtetem Album „Loves You“ (2025).
„Addison Crisis“ stammt von der am 15.05.2026 erscheinenden digitalen EP „The Schmidt’s Syndrome“. Es ist kein abstrakter Song und behandelt Old Nobodys direkte Erfahrung mit Morbus Addison und mehrere erlebte Krisen. Eine Addison-Krise kündigt sich kaum an. Innerhalb kurzer Zeit kippt der Zustand: der Kreislauf bricht ein, Kraft verschwindet, Gedanken werden schwer, die Welt wirkt gedämpft und fern – „see me fading away“. Genau dieses Gefühl des Verblassens trägt den Song. Er erzählt davon, wie brutal und leise eine solche Krise verläuft und wie wenig davon nach außen sichtbar ist. Von einer Krankheit, die oft unterschätzt wird, bis sie lebensbedrohlich wird. Der Song will aufmerksam machen – auf Morbus Addison, auf die Realität von Krisen und auf das Gefühl, Schritt für Schritt zu verschwinden, während alles noch bei Bewusstsein passiert.

“Addison Crisis” is a collaboration from Wuppertal between Sascha Wiercinski, aka Old Nobody, and Oliver Kroker and Matthias Ballke from the shoegaze band Casino Garden. Old Nobody is known as part of the No Body project (featuring former Blackmail singer Aydo Abay and Beatsteaks drummer Thomas Götz) and its highly acclaimed album “Loves You” (2025).
“Addison Crisis” is taken from the digital EP “The Schmidt’s Syndrome”, due for release on 15 May 2026. It is not an abstract song and deals with Old Nobody’s direct experience of Addison’s disease and several crises he has endured. An Addison Crisis gives little warning. Within a short time, the condition takes a turn for the worse: circulation fails, strength vanishes, thoughts become heavy, the world seems muted and distant – “see me fading away”. It is precisely this feeling of fading away that underpins the song. It tells of how brutally and quietly such a crisis unfolds and how little of it is visible to the outside world. Of a disease that is often underestimated until it becomes life-threatening. The song aims to raise awareness – of Addison’s disease, of the reality of crises, and of the feeling of fading away step by step, whilst everything is still happening in full consciousness.
