Heute erscheint endlich „heal“, das neue Album der Aachener Band FYUS. Auf ihrem zweiten Album präsentieren sich FYUS zerrissen zwischen Fernweh und der Suche nach einem Zuhaue. Sie sind desillusioniert vom Zustand der Welt und dem der Gesellschaft. Aber statt sich zu verkriechen und ihre Köpfe in Watte zu packen und ihren Blick von allem Negativem abzuwenden, blicken sie den eigenen Ängsten, Süchten und Unzulänglichkeiten ins Gesicht. Im Zuge dessen sinnieren sie über ganz unterschiedliche Themen: Alkoholkonsum, psychische Gesundheit, Männlichkeit, Protest, Mut, Verlust, Trennung, Einsamkeit und Künstliche Intelligenz. Beim Analysieren sind FYUS schonungslos mit sich selbst und ihrer (Um)welt. Dennoch hegen sie Hoffnung und setzen auf Heilung als Verbindung all der Widersprüche, denen sie und wir ausgesetzt sind.

Today sees the release of „heal“, the new album by FYUS. On their second album FYUS present themselves torn between wanderlust and the search for a home. They are disillusioned with the state of the world and society. But instead of hiding away, wrapping their heads in cotton wool and averting their gaze from all things negative, they look their own fears, addictions and shortcomings in the face. In the process, they reflect on a wide range of topics: Alcohol consumption, mental health, masculinity, protest, courage, loss, separation, loneliness and artificial intelligence. When analysing, FYUS are merciless with themselves and their (surrounding) world. Nevertheless, they harbour hope and focus on healing as a connection between all the contradictions to which they and we are exposed.
