Die Emorocker THE SATELLITE YEAR präsentieren mit „Moonlight Trail“ den dritten Song aus ihrem Comeback-Album „Shipwreck“ (30.05.2025). Laut Band ist „Moonlight Trail“ „einer der Songs, in dem wir mal etwas Neues ausprobieren wollten und uns musikalisch und inhaltlich sehr von Einflüssen aus den 80ern haben leiten lassen. Spätestens ab der zweiten Strophe sollte nur noch wenig Interpretationsspielraum und die Hommage an kitschige Trash-/Horror-/B-Movies der Achtziger nicht mehr von der Hand zu weisen sein.“

According to the band, „Moonlight Trail“ is „one of the songs in which we wanted to try something new and were very much guided by influences from the 80s in terms of music and content. From the second verse at the latest, there was little room for interpretation and the homage to cheesy trash/horror/B-movies of the eighties could no longer be denied.“
