EMPTY STADIUMS sind zurück. Dreieinhalb Jahr nach ihrem Album „Tales From The Void“ (Midsummer Records) veröffentlichen Dennis Herzog und Basti Schaurer am 03.03. über Barhill Records ihre neue EP „YAC“. Zudem übernimmt Barhill Records künftig den digitalen Katalog des Frankfurter Ambient-Postrock-Duos.
Die fünf Songs auf „YAC“ wurden in den Jahren 2023 und 2024 aufgenommen und entstanden mit derselben Mosaik-Methodik wie im Fall von „Tales From The Void“. Die EP klingt wie eine orangefarbene Leinwand mit Bildern von einem blauen Himmel, von Berggipfeln, weißen Wolken und schwarzen Lettern.
EMPTY STADIUMS werden auf „YAC“ unterstützt von Andy Pichl (vocals, guitar), Phil Lemhöfer (vocals) und Joe Aeppli (drums). Mix und Mastering übernahm Dimi Conidas, mit denen sie schon zu Zeiten ihrer alten Band THE WATER SAFETY gearbeitet hatten.

EMPTY STADIUMS are back. Three and a half years after their album ‘Tales From The Void’ (Midsummer Records), Dennis Herzog and Basti Schaurer are releasing their new EP ‘YAC’ on 3 March via Barhill Records. Barhill Records will also take over the digital catalogue of the Frankfurt ambient post-rock duo.
The five songs on ‘YAC’ were recorded in 2023 and 2024 and were created using the same mosaic methodology as in the case of ‘Tales From The Void’. The EP sounds like an orange-coloured canvas with images of a blue sky, mountain peaks, white clouds and black letters.
EMPTY STADIUMS are supported on ‘YAC’ by Andy Pichl (vocals, guitar), Phil Lemhöfer (vocals) and Joe Aeppli (drums). Mixing and mastering were handled by Dimi Conidas, with whom they had already worked in the days of their old band THE WATER SAFETY.
