Heute erscheint endlich „Anything That Burns“, das Debütalbum von COLLETTI auf farbigem Vinyl und digital. 25 Jahre Leben stecken in „Anything That Burns“: Einige Zeilen der insgesamt zehn Lieder reichen zurück bis ins 16. Lebensjahr der Saarbrücker Singer-Songwriterin. Während sie mit dem Schreiben nie aufgehört hatte, hing die Gitarre mehr als ein Dutzend Jahre unbeachtet an der Wand. Erst mit der Corona-Pandemie fasste Jenny Collet, wie Colletti bürgerlich heißt, sich wieder Herz und
Instrument, schrieb Lied um Lied und wagte schließlich erste Solo-Konzerte.
Natur, Reisen, Aufbruch und Abschied, Vertrauen und Freundschaft – das sind typische Themen, die Colletti in ihren Liedern aufgreift. Und sie tut das immer mit einer hörbaren Portion Melancholie. „Sad songs for happy people“ lautet ihr Disclaimer – und der kann auch zweifelsohne für das von Marco Kallenborn alias Citizen Tim produzierte Album „Anything That Burns“ so stehen bleiben.

Today, „Anything That Burns“, the debut album by COLLETTI, is finally being released on coloured vinyl and digitally. 25 years of life have found their way onto „Anything That Burns“: some of the lines in the ten songs date back to when the Saarbrücken singersongwriter was only 16 years old. While she never stopped writing, the guitar hung on the wall unnoticed for more than a dozen years. It wasn’t until the Corona pandemic hit that Jenny Collet (her real name!) took heart and instrument again, wrote song after song and finally ventured into her first solo concerts.
Nature, travelling, departure and farewell, trust and friendship – these are typical themes that Colletti addresses in her songs. She always does so with an audible dose of melancholy. „Sad songs for happy people“ is her disclaimer – and this can undoubtedly remain true for „Anything That Burns“, produced by Marco Kallenborn alias Citizen Tim.
