Heute präsentiert Barhill Records zwei digitale Veröffentlichungen: die DISSO!VER-Live-EP „Lagerkoller Live“ und die POISONED SPEED-Single „Knife Gang b/w Lousy Livin‘“.
Nach dem Albumrelease von „Lagerkoller“ im August 2021 fanden zwei DISSO!VER-Konzerte in Köln statt, bei denen das Album auf der Bühne als One-Man-Show via Loops und Samples mit Synthesizer, Bass, Gitarren und Laptop umgesetzt wurde. Ein drittes Konzert sollte am 03.12.2021 im Artheater Köln stattfinden. Dieses Konzert wurde leider pandemiebedingt abgesagt. Ausgerechnet zu dem Zeitpunkt, wo das aufwändige Livekonzept richtig gut eingespielt war und blind zu funktionieren begann.
Als der Frust noch frisch und fruchtbar war, wurde das Set deshalb kurzerhand im Proberaum aufgenommen. Der Versuch, dabei alleine mehrere Kameras und die mehrspurige Audioaufnahme zu kontrollieren, während man vor allem auch noch ein Set spielt, hat nicht bei allen Stücken perfekt funktioniert, deshalb ist „Lagerkoller Live“ nur ein Auszug.
Dafür sind die Liveversionen von „Aerosole“ und „Misanthropie“ umso besser geworden: Während „Aerosole“ aus einem über Minuten stetig dichter und zwingender werdenden Ambient-Jam erwächst, kommt „Misanthropie“ direkt zur Sache und überzeugt durch Rotz und Punkappeal.
Die Jungs von POISONED SPEED beginnen das Jahr 2022 mit einem Paukenschlag: Ihre brandneue Doppelsingle „Knife Gang b/w Lousy Livin’“ ist ab sofort erhältlich und hebt die Trademarks der Band auf das nächste Level. Die Doppelsingle enthält die lang erwartete Studioversion des zuvor live präsentierten Tracks „Knife Gang“ und den ersten als Trio geschriebenen Song, die brandneue Hymne „Lousy Livin‘“. Beginnt das neue Jahr richtig – mit neuem Feuer von POISONED SPEED!

After the album release of „Lagerkoller“ in August 2021, two DISSO!VER concerts took place in Cologne, where the album was realized on stage as a one-man show via loops and samples with synthesizer, bass, guitars and laptop. A third concert was to take place on 03.12.2021 at the Artheater Cologne. Unfortunately this concert was cancelled due to pandemic. Of all things at the time when the elaborate live concept was really well rehearsed and began to work blindly.
When the frustration was still fresh and fruitful, the set was therefore recorded without further ado in the rehearsal room. Trying to control several cameras and the multi-track audio recording alone, while above all also playing a set, didn’t work perfectly for all tracks, so „Lagerkoller Live“ is only an excerpt.
For that, the live versions of „Aerosole“ and „Misanthrophie“ turned out all the better: While „Aerosole“ grows out of an ambient jam that becomes steadily denser and more compelling over the course of several minutes, „Misanthropie“ gets straight to the point and convinces with snot and punk-appeal.
The POISONED SPEED boys start 2022 with a bang: Their brand new double single called „Knife Gang b/w Lousy Livin‘“ is out now and takes the band’s trademarks to the next level. The double-single features the long-awaited studio version of the previously live presented track „Knife Gang“ and their first song written as a trio, the brand new hymn „Lousy Livin‘“. Start the new year right – with new heat from POISONED SPEED!
