Zuvor wurden bereits die digitalen Singles „Tiny Footsteps“, „Scales Do Not Lie“ und „Kitty Corner (feat. Colletti)“ veröffentlicht.
Nach dem Release seines letzten Albums „C Is For Chaos/Control“ im Jahr 2020 (auf Midsummer Records) ging es für Marco Kallenborn alias CITIZEN TIM nach der Geburt seiner Tochter und noch während der Pandemie nahtlos über ins kreative Schaffen an „Protect Your Golden Heart“. Entstanden ist sein drittes Album wie gewohnt in kompletter Eigenregie.
