Heute erscheinen von Zesura die digitale Single „Motocross Wanderlust“ und das dazugehörige Video. Das hat Frontmann der Band zusammengestellt, um den energiegeladenen Song und dessen Titel adäquat zu bebildern: „In dem Song geht es darum, dass man manche Dinge belächelt oder denkt, man könnte es besser, sich selbst aber nie wirklich ernsthaft anstrengt. Motocross ist eine Metapher; ursprünglich hieß der Song ‚Motocross Metaphores‘.“.
Zesura, auferstanden aus den Ruinen anderer Bands (Karcher, Mental Tearing After 9, The Pistons), ist eine Rockband – so einfach ist das. Die vier Musiker sind dem Kult der Saiten verfallen. Sie beten Rockmusik in nahezu all ihren Formen an. In komplizierten Zeiten ist es manchmal gut, wenn Dinge klar und einfach sind. Wer weiß denn schon, was noch alles kommt?
Ihr Debütalbum „Future Cult Leaders“ spiegelt das auch textlich wieder. Es ist kompliziert und es wird nicht leichter. Zukunftsangst? Nein. Reaktionäres Retrotum? Definitiv nicht. Rockmusik als Rückzugsraum? Für Zesura voll ok. Schließlich wird es am Ende immer noch der Rock‘n‘Roll sein, der Eure Seelen erlösen wird.

Today the digital Zesura single „Motocross Wanderlust“ and the video are available. The video was edited by Zesura’s singer to accompany the energetic song and its title with adequate images: „The song is about the fact, that you smile at things or think, you could do it all better, but you never really endeavour yourself. Motocross is a metaphor; at first the song was called ‚Motocross Metaphores‘.“
Zesura, emerged from the bands Karcher, Mental Tearing After 9 and The Pistons, is a rock band – it’s as simple as that. Zesura are loyal to the cult of strings. They worship rock music in almost all its forms. In complex times, we come to appreciate the straight and simple. For who knows what the future holds.
This is also reflected in the lyrics of Zesura‘s debut album „Future Cult Leaders“. Life ist complicated and it‘s not getting any easier. Fears of the future? No. Reactionary retromania? Definitely not. Rock music as a place of retreat? Absolutely! After all, in the end it‘s rock’n’roll that will redeem your souls.
