„Kitty Corner (ft. Colletti)“ ist die dritte und letzte Vorabauskopplung aus „Protect Your Golden Heart“, dem dritten Album von CITIZEN TIM (Marco Kallenborn). Das Video erscheint mit dem Album am 29.09.2023 als Co-Release bei Barhill Records und Midsummer Records.
Citizen Tim sagt über „Kitty Corner“: „In dem Song geht es erst einmal um Torhüter im Eishockey, die die wichtigste Position mit der größten Verantwortung spielen. Dessen sind sich Torhüter im Eishockey auch bewusst und haben den vollen Rückhalt der Mannschaft. So kommt es gerne mal zu Rangeleien, sofern nach dem Abpfiff noch aufs Tor geschossen wird. Alle auf dem Eis wissen: Der Torhüter muss geschützt werden! Wenn man diesen Gedanken weiterspielt, ist man schnell bei der Politik bzw. machtgeilen Personen und Autokraten, die sich ihrer Verantwortung nicht bewusst sind und nicht wissen, wann es gut wäre, ‚das Eis zu verlassen‘. Und so wurde der Song, der über meinen Lieblingssport handelt, eben doch ungewollt zum ersten politischen Citizen Tim-Song.“

Citizen Tim says about „Kitty Corner“: „The song is first of all about goalkeepers in ice hockey, who play the most important position with the greatest responsibility. Goalkeepers in ice hockey are also aware of this and have the full support of the team. That’s why it’s not uncommon for scuffles to break out if a shot is still being fired at the goal after the final whistle. Everyone on the ice knows: The goalkeeper must be protected! If you take this thought further, you quickly get to politics or power-hungry people and autocrats who are not aware of their responsibility and don’t know when it would be good to ‚leave the ice‘. And so the song, which is about my favourite sport, unintentionally became the first political Citizen Tim song.“
